The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

Fixing X problems for 1.3.0...

Hi folks!

I want to fix the X packages in 1.3.0 since I want to make some CDs.
Waiting for 1.3.1 is no option since the move to XFree 3.3 will likely
introduce some new bugs and I consider 1.3.0 pretty stable.

If I got everything right, one just needs to change the following things
in the xbase package:

  - make "xdm" and "xdm-shadow" the same file (I would just copy
"xdm-shadow" on "xdm)

  - all xserver packages should depend on "xbase"

Is this correct?

I would try just to "repack" the packages, to be sure nothing else is
changed. The output should be easily verfied by comparing the "dpkg -c"
and "dpkg -I" output.

If you want, I could upload the changed packages to master. Perhaps they
should go in a "1.3.0.1" release as far as a few of you have tested them.
I expect 1.3.1 to take at least 10 days (that's what has been said here)
so it would be perhaps good to fix this soon.

Thanks,

Chris
