The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

A few comments on the Debian logo...

Even though I qualify as a non-package-maintaining-lurker I would like
to comment on the selection of the Debian logo.

Firstly... Take care. Selection of a logo will be very very important
now that Caldera and Red Hat are funded well enough to gear up proper
marketing apparatus. We cannot afford to commit to a poorly engineered
logo in the simple minded interest of resolving this difficult
problem. We will not be solving any problems if we haphazardly commit
to an image that does fulfill the needs of our organization.

The current logo selection does not make me think "Dewd! I want a
T-Shirt with that on it!". As crude as this analysis may sound it is
exactly the criteria we should be looking at.

I _urge_ _urge_ _urge_ a second round of logo selections hosted
directly on the main web server. I would also suggest seeding requests
for assistance into the graphic arts field in the form of a contest.
Perhaps a contest with a reward that we bring to the attention of
various graphic arts schools.

I simply do not feel that the current selection is prepared to compete
with the marketing strategies that competing institutions will be
laying out millions of dollars for.

Sorry to carry on the brawl. I have attempted to subscribe to Debian
Publicity and will attempt to continue my comments there.
