The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

Isn't that a good thing. Debian has grown from a distribution which
(when I first heard of it) was just a joke compared to others, into one
which rivals and, IMHO, surpasses the others in quality. Let's not
fear this change but embrace it.

Sounds like you have been Project leader a little _too_ long. I salute
you Bruce for doing an excellent job and I thank you for pulling Debian
to where it is today.

I think that what the next Project Leader needs to realize is that in
light of the expansion of Developer corps, the responsiblities of the
Project Leader (once small) are now to large to be all taken on by one
person. These responsiblities need to be delegated by the Project
Leader among the developers. This will allow us to accomplish much
more and will avoid the Project Leader burnout syndrome into which Bruce
fell entrapped.

I offer myself out to the next leader (Ian?) as someone who can help
take some of the smaller responsiblities away. I am eager to do
something real for Debian, but don't have the experience yet to take on
many of the packages. I would be excellent at organizing new projects,
building web pages, or many other things.

I currently maintain just a couple of packages and should probably stay
that way (unless some other simple packages need a new maintainer).
Otherwise I would be glad to help out elsewhere.

I think Debian is great and want to help out as best I can.

ps. No hard feeling intended Bruce. I hope you enjoy your free time
and are able to get done some of those extra things you have been
putting off. :^)
