Mass Layoffs in Microsoft Azure Again, for the Fourth Year in a Row
Thousands laid off again. Over 1,000 workers are impacted, some say 1,500.
Forget about Microsoft's smokescreen about "Sweden" and "AI". This is the real news: (which they hope to distract from)
Azure has been collapsing for years (every year since 2020) and Microsoft kept defrauding the shareholders about it.
If this is "the future" and "growth area" for Microsoft, then shareholders need to be deeply concerned. They're being misled and this cannot be spun as an "AI" issue. In fact, according to Microsoft, Azure was boosted by "AI". So why so many layoffs?

At least 1,500 are laid off (Microsoft typically says half of the real number, so 3,000 seems plausible), some mainstream media says "hundreds", "just to control the damage" as my wife puts it.
The media should say thousands, not hundreds.
The main reason Microsoft kept HoloLens all these years (despite laying off all the original staff) is to get bailouts from the Pentagon in the form of "defence" contracts (helmets). This needs to be property investigated amid Microsoft's decision to scuttle the teams (again). For example, who made those decisions on procurement and why?
Layoffs are generally a "last resort" as they damage morale and lead remaining ("lucky") workers to exploring alternative employment. Microsoft keeps pretending to be a tiger, not a kitten, and these layoffs show that it's all showmanship as the company sank deep into debt and is now looking into cost-cutting measures. The media says Microsoft invests "billions" in some buzzwords in some nations, but no actual money (financial transaction) is involved, it's just bribes wrapped up in a PR bubble.
