Microsoft Azure Laying Off Thousands, Not Hundreds!

Early in the morning we wrote about the latest mass layoffs at Microsoft. We've since then studied more closely some of this morning's (i.e. more recent) reports. Some are a few hours old. Some are semi-misinformation, e.g.:

NOPE! Microsoft to lay off hundreds at Azure cloud unit, Business Insider reports

Nope, it's not "hundreds". Wrong. Stop parroting what Microsoft says.

The press needs to listen to informed whistleblowers, not "official" statements from Microsoft, a company with a long history of crimes and profound deceit.

"One of the sources said that the job cuts within the Azure for Operators team could number as many as 1,500," this newer report says. Irish media says the same this morning/noon.

That's 1,500 layoffs in Azure alone, not counting the AR stuff and other divisions, so we're talking about thousands in total.
