Almost 18
TWO weeks from now this site turns 18 (we already have decorations and plans for a small party) and it's still doing very well. Yesterday it served nearly 300,000 Web requests (over 300,000 if one counts Gemini Protocol too) and its sister site served about 1.2 million, having averaged well over a million per day for the past week. We cover the important issues and many people seem to value that. We also cover highly suppressed topics. Readers can appreciate this.
With growth come "challenges" though and Microsofters are trying hard to undermine the site. No, they're not going to succeed, but they try anyway.
This coming year we expect to (again) smash the record for number of articles per year. So far, so good. In the past year we produced well over 5,000 stories and this year we'll probably aim to publish over 6,000 pages. As we don't do social control media the best way to follow us is an RSS feed. There's one for HTTP/S and another one for Gemini Protocol... █
