Free Software is for Everybody
Free Software was originally 'designed' around the concept of satisfying the Four Freedoms. Those meant that distribution cannot be prohibited for any purpose or group (yes, including Russians or whoever Microsoft has shamelessly banned since the first term of Donald Trump).
At the moment the Linux Foundation is not only stress-testing the Four Freedoms. It actively attacks the Four Freedoms. It does this in a variety of ways. Remember who the Linux Foundation fronts for (the page with a list of its members can still crash your browser or your computer, as it has done for years due to terrible design). Those companies oppose the Four Freedoms. Red Hat is now owned by a company that undermines the GPL. The Linux Foundation's board is dominated by a company that works to undermine GPL enforcement. That's Microsoft. The Linux Foundation nowadays does more for Microsoft than it does for Linux (which gets only ~2% of the Linux Foundation's total budget).
Yes, that's true. An inconvenient truth.
And yet, what many people fail to see or conveniently overlook is that today's Linux Foundation shamelessly and recklessly promotes discrimination. Ignore mere words and focus on the actions.
Those are not well-meaning people. They're corporate puppets and GAFAM's social climbers. All they care about is money and the Four Freedoms stand in their way even if the Four Freedoms aren't inherently against money-making. These freedom exist to prevent insatiable, abundant greed for power/money (at others' expense). They're a response to a real problem, which involves human nature. That the Linux Foundation works for Donald Trump serves to highlight this problem. █
