The joy of rediscovery or fear of eluding memories
I am rooted in a deep nostalgia for myself, I stumble upon bits and pieces of my past and am met with mixed feelings.
Why do I struggle so much to retain memories that feel like they should be integral to my personality?

match review #1 - aéreo vs villano iii jr.
genuinely amazed, one of the best matches of the decade, and definitely one of the most nuts apuestas i've ever seen.
they'd been feuding for two years, with this being in aéreo's home field, attacking and fighting each other for two years. i'm currently trying to see if the bull terrier (dog collar) match can be found as we speak.
the first fall with the both of them trying to outpace each other on the mat, with villano iii jr. continuously getting there, but aéreo pissing off and humiliating villano iii jr. with la atlantida, not only that, but daring to kneel on la atlantida? the same move that humiliated villano iii, his opponent's father, all those years ago in arena mexico? too far.

i want to return to japan for vacation
maybe this year i'll make my return to japan for vacation. i tried to spend my paid vacation time there each year, prior to the pandemic. i'm not the type who'd try to cram visiting a bunch of tourist locations in the span of a week or two-- a couple of days in tokyo, another couple in kyoto, then osaka, etc. i'd find such an itinerary to be way too overwhelming and it leaves no time for me to actually relax. if i go this year, it'll probably be in the summer.
i book a hotel in akihabara for my entire two weeks. then i'll stem out from there; checking out shops in the surrounding wards, taking some pics, chowing down on bowl of abura soba every other night.

Contexts and sequencing
When GTD was first published one of the new ideas was to sort your ânext actionsâ list into contexts like âCallsâ, âDo at homeâ, âErrandsâ, âDo at deskâ and so on.
This was great for two reasons. One: itâs more efficient to do something in one trip than in two, and that reduces overhead. Two: thatâs also psychologically a motivator! Itâs satisfying to âI might as well do this as long as Iâm doing thatâ, that just feels good and unclumsy and elegant. And while it sometimes feels like itâs not worth making the schlep to do one thing, it might start to feel really worth it once you have a couple of things to do there to tip you over the top. (Although that's a double-edged sword once a context gets full of so many daunted and dreaded things that you don't even want to go there in the first place because then you'd have to do the totally dreaded thing.)
For many people, âcontextsâ have fallen of the wayside in modern GTD since they have the world in their pockets at all times so whatâs the use? It doesnât really add any efficiency for them, just more fiddliness with the system. And some of the contexts, like âCallsâ, have become pretty dumb since I canât really make multiple calls at once in this era of âplease holdâ and âweâll call you back so keep your phone readyâ.

Tangara
I joined the kickstarter a long time ago and got the device yesterday. The package was nice. It works. The menu looks good â always tricky with a wheel user interface. My 16GiB SD card works, all I had to so was reformat it using a VFAT file-system (whatever the Gnome Disks app suggested). The device came semi-charged so it worked immediately. Something rattles when I shake it. Maybe itâs the button? There is some sort of haptic feedback with the UI which surprised me. The UI doesnât dim or go dark with inactivity, thereâs a switch to do it. I guess I like it. The music sounds great with my old Sennheiser Monument cable-only headphones.

Web Tings: 1
I had a few blogs and substacks in mind that I wanted to follow but that was about it. I didnât realize how helpful having this app would be. The discovery feature led me sites I even wasn't aware of. It also allowed me to follow some social accounts so I don't need to actual use the app itself and risk endless scrolling. After a few days of using it. I ended convinced both my partner and a friend to set up their own readers. My partner has been using Newsify iOS cause they are a âwhatever first in the app storeâ kind of guy.
