Announcements and Administrivia
SPRING is approaching. It's nearly February, Chinatown is abuzz (new year), there's light outside after 5PM, and it has been getting noticeably warmer. In springtime we tend to get a little more productive because of body/sleep patterns and various other factors.
This week we're going out for two days in a row to celebrate an achievement that's very respectable (but we won't mention in public for privacy reasons), so perhaps until the weekend - if not late Friday - we don't expect to publish much.
Things will be calm and smooth until May because the harassment calmed down, IRC is virtually troll-free (for months already), tomorrow it might suffer a temporary disruption (host decided to "improve the flow of routes within our network by removing legacy configuration") and maybe we'll deploy SSG changes which improve our drafting functionality some time next week. Today we did some rigorous testing and bug-fixing.
Remember that there was a Stallman (rms) talk today. We're trying to track down a recording of it, even if it's just partial. He (rms) is protecting history from the likes of the Linux Foundation - that's a tough task for just one person to do, especially given his age and health. He's turning 72 in March (16th to be exact), i.e. half a decade overdue for retirement. █
