Microsoft Tarnishing the Brand of Arch
Hours ago: Microsoft's WSL (LSW) Shows That It Can Never Love Linux, Only Windows
WSL is Windows, it is NOT "Linux".
Arch or Arch Linux or Arch GNU/Linux or whatever is making a mistake. Given its generally technical nature (for technical users), it stands to gain nothing by becoming an "app" for Windows and it stands to lose reputation, plus time (hassle).
If someone wants to run Arch under Windows, then one can use Free software like VirtualBox and adopt any version of Arch, running more "properly" and not under Microsoft's direct control.
Of course Arch can do whatever it wants, but being associated with Microsoft is a badge of shame. People typically flock to Arch to get away from Microsoft. █
