Microsoft's WSL (LSW) Shows That It Can Never Love Linux, Only Windows
THIS past week we saw nearly 10 articles - many of them from Microsoft sites (NOT Linux sites) - about Ubuntu and WSL, which is something Microsoft came to Canonical to do. That's according to managers or former managers from Canonical. Now they go after Arch, too, btw. Pardon our lack of links, we'd rather not name the culprits either.
It was all about Microsoft all along. Canonical just got paid to play along and essentially promote Windows (or tell people to stay with Microsoft and Windows). Canonical sold out. That was nearly a decade ago.
Many of the facilitators of WSL (not limited to Canonical's) are long gone. We don't hear much about them anymore. Hayden Barnes became a "Microsoft MVP" and promotes .NET now. He always promoted Microsoft, not "UNIX" or "Linux". He came to Techrights IRC many times (with fake names) to annoy and troll us. Microsofters tend to do this a lot (at risk of being sued for it [1, 2]) because that's just how Microsoft rolls.
