Hate Mail From Anonymous Cowards
Recently I got some abusive mail via "burner accounts", coinciding with unfavourable (to the Microsofters) decisions and missed deadlines. I also noticed that people who had long abused us got banned from Social Control Media, so I'd not rule out the correlation.
Reporting to the authorities abuse (including abuse done online) is feasible, but holding people accountable is another. We already reported some of the cybercrimes (including via E-mail) and supplied evidence in person. There were even admissions of these cybercrimes out in the open Web.
The first time I received a death threat online was more than 20 years ago (because of something that I posted in USENET). I still remember the threat. It was sent by E-mail. In later years, in relation on things I wrote about Microsoft, I also received threats of violence or worse. That generally stopped "having an effect" on me, maybe because I got accustomed to it. Nevertheless, if this persists, we'll need to escalate. In the past year we filed three countersuits [1, 2, 3], which need to be pursued to the their conclusion. If some Americans who hide in a forest and in dad's home (while working for Microsoft!) turn out to be connected to those threats, the ramifications will be severe (even if the threats are proxied). The public track records suggest those people have no respect for laws. █
