Slopwatch: Plagiarism and "Linux" Articles by Bots
This evening's Slopwatch examines a few familiar slopfarms, starting with what Mehedi Hasan has turned his site into about a week ago. Some months ago it felt like it was copying Phoronix and then it stopped. Then, after a long pause, many old articles were being updated. Then came lots of LLM slop. We saw about 4 or more of them in one day and, we noted earlier this week, some original authors complain to us about this. They tell us that "UbuntuPIT" is copying their work. Consider this new one:

Another slopfarm, LinuxSecurity, has a couple of slop pieces; notice the two older author names vanished about a week ago. They now use some generic account name:
Sites that do this won't survive; many of them rely on slop services (suppliers) that will cease to exist after the bubble bursts. █
