Microsoft Cancelling Another Datacentre is a Sign of Financial Trouble and Lack of Growth
The debt continues to grow
This month Microsoft has Azure layoffs. It also has Azure mass resignations (seeing their colleagues, they probably know they're next to be laid off regardless). It also has canceled datacentres, again.
That was hours ago. Don't mind the excuses. Any fool knows that statements like "remains committed to the region" are pure, classic PR talk.
Remember what happened in Georgia and the datacentres (DCs) in other states; Microsoft is a "DC shutdown"... over time it shuts down DCs (or collocation) and hopes nobody in the press will notice.
In South Korea, the datacentre turns into a cloud (of smoke). In Microsoft's little island, datacentres vapourware turns to water.
As things stand, Microsoft's debt is going through the roof despite all the layoffs and other cuts (e.g. Skype, a loss leader).
Somehow the Microsofters still find sponsors to attack my family and I for merely talking about these things. Who's funding them? They won't say. But we shall find out. █
