More Silent Layoffs at IBM/Red Hat
A week ago: IBM's Bluewashing of Red Hat Means the Layoffs Are Silent, Barely Reported

Hours ago, regarding Red Hat: (overlapping department, target for cuts amid bluewashiing)
Nowhere does he indicate starting somewhere else; it looks like layoffs.
Last month we published "IBM is Cutting - Almost in Half - Its Office Space in Austin, So Expect Many Layoffs (RAs)" and days ago we mentioned how RTP (see above) was being shut. It's temporary, according to them, and not everyone could fit into the new place, which necessarily meant some people would be let go.
What we are seeing these days are many quiet layoffs ("RAs") at IBM, and with those layoffs we see IBM "engineering" or "innovating" ways to hide that, e.g. "RAs by PIPs", "relocation", "LPI, Then MIS" and so on...
So of course when the media counts such layoffs or presents tallies the numbers are very incomplete. █
