Suggestions Regarding Techrights Search
3 days ago we launched search. We've since then received some constructive feedback. We are not sure whether to change the User Interface (UI) or the back end. It seems like the ranking of results, which basically doesn't exist yet (they're listed chronologically), results in many irrelevant entries, such as IRC logs (back when they were posted as articles or blog posts, not standalone files). In some cases, Daily Links also serve to obscure our original articles.
We're gonna have a long look/think about this. How to tackle the issue is an open-ended problem-solving exercise and we're all ears in IRC. Let us know how to improve search for you. █
