Slopwatch: Many Fake Articles About "Linux" on Monday and Today
Today's Slopwatch starts with a search for "linux" in Google News. It's particularly bad today. The following triplet all show up:
To be very clear, those are slop images, the text is LLM slop, and all the above sites are run by the same person/s. Google News is stuffing its results with fake news from several domains controlled by the same faker/s. Also notice the lack of diversity in headlines. Can't Google do better than this?
We're also reminded of this from last month: 'Help Net Security' (helpnetsecurity.com) May Have Become a Slopfarm as Well
Well, today they have this article and the image looks like slop:
Also in Google News, the slopfarm WebProNews shows up everywhere and everything is fake (the images, the text, even the author names):

Some more fake articles about "Linux", slop made out of originals:
A Phoronix ripoff:
Likewise/ditto:
WebProNews is drowning out the legitimate, real articles. Google helps WebProNews fill the Web with fakes. It rewards or incentivises the practice.
Meanwhile in the slopfarm of Brian Fagioli:
Fake images, fake text, just like in this slopfarm:
Just like WebProNews, it is trying to make it sound like good news, then attacking it with "security" FUD using LLM slop from a dummy account ("MaK Ulac") and slop images along the way.
A lot of the Web is pure garbage. A lot of 'articles' are 100% fake. █
