Layoffs at Apple do happen and did happen. But we keep seeing the fiction floated about that Apple "avoids" layoffs or has no layoffs. That's demonstrably false. The company's debt is growing (despite not buying anything significant like a very large company), sales aren't doing too well, and yes... there are layoffs.
It's not that Apple avoids layoffs, it's just that media avoids mentioning layoffs. Or put another way, Apple is good at hiding the reality from the media. Apple is notorious for aggressively shutting down/silencing critics.
