IBM is a Buzzwords Vendor
A month ago: "Nobel" Exploited Posthumously for "AI" Hype, Now They Do the Same With "Quantum"
Hours ago: IBM "Trying to Memory Hole the RA With Positive News."
Also:
"IBM shared two breakthroughs on their quest for quantum supremacy," says the above. You mean... they gave some words or merely theoretical demos, right? But no products.
They now say "delivery in coming years" (quoting other media; years from now nobody will remember these promises anymore).
Future date - with an unspecified number of years for delivery (10 years?) - means vapourware. For now.
Quantum Computing (QC) has been a go-to buzzword/buzzphrase since I started University 25+ years ago.
QC... always "years from now". Always "amazing"... always "the future"...
Meanwhile IBM's chief scientist says that IBM is small (it sure does get smaller with all those layoffs) and AK (IBM's CEO) has tactlessly said, repeatedly by now, that quantum is the next big thing after "AI" (he meant plagiarised information synthesis systems, basically economic fraud).
Does anyone even pay attention to anything IBM promises these days?
"Quantum" hype was also peddled by Microsoft amid mass layoffs nearly a year ago. What ever happened with that? █
