European Readers, Get Ready to Contact Your National Representatives (Delegates) in the EPO's Administrative Council
Perfect timing might be Sunday or Monday
The Administrative Council is about to meet (Wednesday). Some folks embark on a plane/flight (or train or car or whatever) early in the week. In preparation for the upcoming December meeting we thought that it might be a good idea to take a look at the current membership of this oversight body.
Last night we explained the urgent need to contact our National Representatives (or Delegates) in Europe regarding EPO abuses and an urgent need for proper oversight. This morning we prepared our European readers for a list of contact details. This is still being finalised. We strongly encourage contacting these people in their native tongue/s, we can only offer some generic talking points in English. Be original and courteous, do not mass-mail people.
Please be very polite with members of the Administrative Council. Aside from "revolving doors" incidents (which exist), they're not EPO insiders. Many come from their national patent officers (NPOs). They deserve some respect if we're to sway or persuade them to scrutinise the EPO's bad behaviour.
Using the information published on the EPO's official Web site we constructed a picture gallery of the current national representatives on the Administrative Council.
There have been quite a few changes since 2021 when we last took a look at the composition of the Administrative Council.
When compiling the current picture gallery we noticed that four alternate (deputy) representatives appear to be publicity-shy and no photograph of them could be found.
We shall say more later. We'll publish the gallery soon, hopefully tonight. █
