Richard Stallman Was Right About "AI"
Having just mentioned Richard Stallman, yesterday we noticed that some boosters of slop REALLY hate this page of his. Until today they're still trying to find ways or "angles" to attack him for it. It is called "shoot the messenger" (not his argument). One person commented: "Considering Stallman worked in the MIT AI lab in the era of symbolic AI, and has written GCC (an optimizing compiler is a kind of symbolic reasoner imo), I think he has a deeper understanding of the question than most famous people in tech."

Granted, Dr. Stallman isn't young, but that does not go far as a valid argument against him for for him. He may not be into all the "cool" and "hip" and "modern" things, but he does have ample experience with plenty of technology and he rejects or turns things down stuff based on this experience.
Earlier this week we showed how people tried to discredit him for not sending screenshots. He prefers using Emacs, which he himself developed. What's wrong with developing and using one's own tools?
Anyway, now that it's widely acknowledged slop is a bubble (and not "AI") we can only recall things Dr. Stallman has said to us about slop since the very beginning of this paid-for media hype. █
