Recruiters Don't Use Microsoft LinkedIn, Spammers Use LinkedIn

Regarding fake openings from 'telemarketers': Why Government Data on "Job Openings" is Typically a Lie (Perpetrated in Part by Corporations)
One of my best friends, a university professor, lost all of his life's savings due to Microsoft LinkedIn. He was approached by a so-called 'crypto' (scam) charlatan. He trusted a stranger in Microsoft LinkedIn. Laugh at him all you want, he's a clever person, but Microsoft LinkedIn makes scammers seem highly legit and everyone else easily impressionable.
But Microsoft LinkedIn isn't just a magnet to scammers; it's a magnet to many other bad actors, not people who get real work done or look for people to hire (for real work).
I've never heard of people who found a job in Microsoft LinkedIn; if they got a job, it was because they attended some real job interview, not because they created some fake history with fake badges and "connected" to many people whom they never even met. Only a foolish company would hire based on easy-to-fake online profile.
Microsoft LinkedIn is nothing but a social control network, hence a complete waste of time (more people recognise this now). Worse yet, people broadcast there things that they later regret, as what they publish targets recruiters and instead gets to the "wrong crowd" or gets posted to 'friends' and then used negatively by an employer (e.g. evidence you lied about being "off sick").
In short, life is too short for Microsoft LinkedIn.
If someone tells you, "no, I'm not in Microsoft LinkedIn" (it happens), treat it not with suspicion; it's a sign of tact. █
