As people are well aware (especially the media), the EPO has long bribed media and academia. The people in the media know who pays their salary; it's not the publisher but its sponsors. Look at JUVE for example. It's just a UPC propaganda platform, funded by Team UPC.
In the case of the EPO, the tribunals and courts are rigged. They will not introspect of self-assess. They lack the incentive to pursue objective justice and they instead serve law firms and their largest (highest sources of income) clients, typically American mega-corporations.
Having said all this, the EPO is exposed and will continue to be exposed for what truly goes on there. We wrote about this earlier today. The EPO isn't about justice or law; in practice the EPO just routinely crushes both while intentionally violating conventions and constitutions. Like we put it on the first day of the year, "Europe's Second-Largest Institution Became a Corrupt For-Profit Company Run by Drug Addicts".
When more people recognise this the credibility of the said institution is diminished. Then, change will follow.
Many "systems" rely on the mere perception or appearance of legitimacy; if their actions don't match their words, then even "all the money in the world" (e.g. bought puff pieces) won't help. Ask IBM. █
