Microsoft Allegedly Uses Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) to Hide the Massive Scale of Company-Wide Layoffs
Just like IBM; they meanwhile talk a bunch of nonsense about "AI" to distract from their commercial calamity
"Microsoft figured out how they can legally to deny Unemployment benefits claims," somebody wrote 3 hours ago. "Microsoft HR informed managers to issue 30% more Performance Improvement Plans during the months of January and February. HR devised the Performance Improvement Plans to make sure they are nearly impossible to pass. The Performance Improvement Plans issued to employees have a three week duration. With the majority of Microsoft employees expected to fail their Performance Improvement Plans HR expects employees will be released from Microsoft no later than March 15th. HR will identify these employees as fired and will deny all unemployment benefits claims filed with Washington State."
We heard about PIPs at Microsoft a few times before but the details above seem more concrete and there's also the rumour about mass layoffs resuming at Microsoft in 14 days from now. █
