Slopfarms Push Fake News About Microsoft Shutdown, 30,000+ Microsoft Layoffs Last Year Spun as Only "15,000"

posted by Roy Schestowitz on Jan 16, 2026

A dumb harmony of mindless, idiotic slopfarms this morning because of yet another shutdown [1, 2]:

After 15,000 layoffs, Microsoft cuts staff library and newspaper access, says it will give them AI experiences

Microsoft Cuts Staff Library, News Access Amid AI Push After 15,000 Layoffs

After 15,000 Layoffs, Microsoft Cuts Employee Library and Newspaper Access, Shifts Focus to AI-Based Learning

So news or word got out that Microsoft, besieged by debt, is shutting down yet more facilities. Now come the slopfarms, lying about the scale of layoffs last year and moreover relaying a totally phony "AI" narrative (wherein every commercial failure gets spun as "investment in AI", "replace by AI" or some other malarkey).

The Web is seriously ill. And that's good for people who are harmed by reliable information.
