Swiss retail giant Migros

Love him or hate him (or fear him), RMS flies coach, he takes trains, he does not drive, he pays with cash, and he doesn't carry fancy bags or some Rolex watch. His asset is between his ears, not in his fists.

A Swiss employee of the FSF left some months ago, but RMS is still going places with his Migros bag (Swiss retail giant) - even well outside Switzerland (Boston is far) - and yesterday Swiss media did an article about him:

«Entweder die Nutzer kontrollieren das Programm – oder das Programm kontrolliert die Nutzer»

“Either users control the program – or the program controls the users”

Remember that GNU's anniversary was celebrated in Switzerland. RMS seems to travel to Switzerland often, more so in recent years (maybe nostalgic reasons, maybe medical, maybe kinder hosts for his talks).

To be fair, RMS probably feels comfortable in Switzerland because he can speak with the locals in two languages.
