The Tower Under Construction

Google has the resources to detect and omit slopfarms from its indices and moreover omit these from Google News.

But Google does not wish to do this. After all, Google wishes to ride the bubble and benefit from the Ponzi scheme as an "early adopter".

Today I found not a single example of LLM slop in RSS feeds, but Google News drowns in fake articles, which are a form of plagiarism that Google is actively rewarding. Examples include this prolific slopfarm:

Slop or fake: Eight Linux Distros Emerge As Top Picks For Developers

Slop or fake: Ubuntu Server Makes Free Self-Hosting Simple

Slop or fake: Waydog Linux Revives Old PCs With Modern Look

Slop or fake: Linux Kernel 6.19 Ends 6.x Era, Benefits Cloud Admins

Another slopfarm:

A pair of slopfarms that game Google:

Slop or fake: VoidLink Linux C2 Highlights LLM-Generated Malware with Multi-Cloud and Kernel-Level Stealth

Slop or fake: VoidLink Linux C2 Uses LLM-Generated Malware with Kernel-Level Stealth

Slop about slop with slop images.

Also this:

Slop or fake: APT36 Targets Linux Systems With New Tools Designed to Disrupt Services

Slop/spam/SEO targetting "Linux 7.0":

Slop or fake: Linux 7.0 Gets a Phantom Filesystem: Inside the NULLFS Namespace Revolution That Could Reshape Container Security

Why does Google help these plagiarism operations gain visibility?

Well, the simplest explanation is, Google is a plagiarism company and it wants public solidarity for plagiarism by LLMs.
