Rumours About February 2026 Microsoft Layoffs: Silent Layoffs or 30,000 Culled Tomorrow

posted by Roy Schestowitz on Feb 10, 2026

A month ago: No, Microsoft Did Not Deny the Q1 Mass Layoffs (Microsoft Can Delay These)

Even before Microsoft's shares collapsed there were potent rumours - and contrary to parrots in the media Microsoft never denied this! - about Microsoft mass layoffs and PIPs. These rumours seemed legitimate for several reasons; the claims seemed plausible and overlapped in terms of their details. any news on if msft is actually gnna do layoffs? heard rumors couple weeks ago they would in jan feb but so far haven’t seen anything.

Sooner or later (and soon) Microsoft will need to say something and file some WARN notifications.
