Slopfarms Waning, But Not Extinct Yet
Yesterday I saw nothing in my RSS feeds that seemed like LLM slop. Nothing. And I'm fairly adept or skilled at spotting these, not only based on textual patterns but also authors/platforms. Having taken a look at the Serial Slopper's site, he's mostly publishing slop about slop (seldom about "Linux"), Linuxiac seems to have improved somewhat (some of the articles there seem legitimate again), and only in more recent hours I saw a slopfarm becoming active again:

Thankfully, searching "linux" in Google News has only yielded one slopfarm today. It's one of a triplet of slopfarms operated by the same person/people:

Notice how it's always anti-Linux and it uses fake text, fake images... everything fake.
If mainstream news is anything to go by, slop is way past its peak and people are increasingly disgusted by it. Metrics show that usage of LLMs is declining. █
