The EFF Is Hardly Doing Anything Anymore

Our friends at SoylentNews have this new discussion about "Blaming Kids for Poor Security", where the contributor added: "If a teenager can hack your system and steal your data then don't blame the kid. What about the 20 something government sponsored college educated folks in other lands that work in groups? They'll be able to get into your system and just sit for months or years on end, stealing what they want, never being detected."
As an associate put it, "how much has the EFF neglected this case and if so [why]?"
Well, as we'll show in the future today's EFF is just a political wing with little grasp or care for technology. It's sponsored by billionaires/oligarchs to advance their interests (wealth). It doesn't seem to care much about human rights either, e.g. threats to put journalists in prison for merely advocating computer security. The new chief of the EFF seems about as misguided (or unfit) as the departing one; with background so-called 'IP' in an aggressive law firm (notoriously aggressive), what has she got to offer at the EFF? Certainly not patent reform.
When did the EFF last write about patents?
Our series about the EFF has been brewing for over 2 years already. It'll be published when the time is right. █
