Stop Conflating Free Software With Slop Plagiarism and Time-wasting

Even decades ago people could use "compute" for lots of fuzzing, then file away false or unaudited reports using bots
"I was among the delegation of “open source experts” invited to the UN Open Source Week 2026 in New York City by the Sovereign Tech Agency," Seth Larson writes. "Thank you to the Sovereign Tech Agency for inviting and supporting my stay and travel for the event. Thanks to Alpha-Omega for sponsoring my position at the Python Software Foundation."
Sovereign Tech Agency is OK, but the latter is GAFAM (Linux Foundation) and a force of occupation. Of course they promoted slop there; it's "on the menu" because of sponsorships. Looking at the official site, they are conflating one theme ("Open Source") with slop... same thing OSI did after Microsoft had bribed it to. They are dealing with GPL violations by normalising them. They are not speaking as negatively as they ought to about slop. Follow the money. █
