Who Next After IBM? (Bubbles Don't Last Forever)

Earlier this year:

In recent Daily Links (earlier this week) we mentioned that Microsoft's slop outfit, "open" (proprietary, closed) slop ("hey hi"), was killing off its "hey hi browser" - whatever the use case ever was aside from some Herculean buzz phrases like "Atlas". What we are witnessing this year is the demise of companies with "ai" in their name/domain. Many of them are still around, but they only ever lose money and usually more money is lost over time (no prospect of recovery), so it's a bubble waiting to implode like IBM yesterday and we've meanwhile been shown GAFAM follows and Oracle does too because slop is naught and "Oracle has no way to get that money back". █
