Deplatforming People You Disagree With Is a Losing Strategy

techrights.org, gemini.techrights.org, and irc.techrights.org have all seen increases lately (news.techrights.org is another one, but few people use that any longer). In the past we had an Australian one (au.techrights.org).
The techrights.org community became more well known and of "higher profile" in recent years. Attempts to undermine this community mostly backfired. Some people, instead of creating something of their own, have made it their goal to undermine those whom they envied (and even tried to put women in prison to feel "powerful"; it backfired as well [1, 2]).
If you don't agree with someone online, then write something about that or write something better. Trying to deplatform people you don't agree with is oppressive and petty. █
