Sadly, Novell Layoff Rumours Have Materialised
This is sad news, but it is rather inevitable after a financial struggle that called for restructuring. The most pessimistic among the rumours spoke about 1,100 jobs to be cut. Other previous items (reverse chronological and partial):

Considering that the referenced article has been withdrawn but you continue to spread its message as fact it’s clear that this site is all about FUD.

No, there was an update on this.
The figures that Asay brought up some months ago was 20-25% of the workforce (about 1,000 people).
Again, this is just the most pessimistic outlook, as pointed out above. It’s not claimed to be most correct or most likely; it’s just most pessimistic.
As I’ve said outside this Web site, this news is very sad. The management sold out and it’s the engineers (not the management) that suffer the most.
