Whilst EMC spreads the Microsoft Movement
AFTER 15 LONG YEARS in this bad company, the man leaves abruptly (with advance notification), joining the ranks of many others.
Bill Shaughnessy is leaving his post as global VP-sales, marketing and services for Microsoft. He is expected to continue working at the company through March. It’s unclear if or how Microsoft will replace him or what Mr. Shaughnessy’s next move is.
Also unclear is why Mr. Shaughnessy is leaving; he is a 15-year veteran of Microsoft who, before leading ad sales, was general manger of product management for MSN’s communications services, such as Hotmail, Messenger and MSN Spaces. He has also worked in ad operations and, before joining MSN in 1998, and held marketing stints for Windows.
EMC, Microsoft’s Partner of the Year 2008, has meanwhile put yet another former Microsoft employee in charge of a subsidiary.
EMC said Tuesday that it had appointed Harel Kodesh as president of its Seattle-based subsidiary, Decho.
It is important to remember how EMC installed a former Microsoft executive inside VMware while expelling its former leadership [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]. EMC did this in a very disgusting way. █

I’m sorry, but I have to ask; how do you leave abruptly with 3 months advanced notification?

Compare that to Gates’ departure or Ballmer’s “retirement plan”. Most abrupt are moves like Martin Taylor’s.

So, it’s unclear if he will retire completely or infect a healthy company and use that as a host to spread further damage from.
It’s very common now, at least in the states, to check criminal records before hiring. Former MS employees and partners need to be caught and weeded by HR, before they get too far into the hiring process.
