Microsoft Corporation: Sex, Drugs, and Corruption

Posted in Courtroom, Fraud, Microsoft at 7:26 am by Dr. Roy Schestowitz

Summary: Prostitution, orgies, drug use, and other shocking details about life at Microsoft

TWO years ago, Microsoft was visited by the authorities under unusual circumstances:

Microsoft Building Searched By Feds Investigating High-Priced Hookers

[...]

Federal investigators executed a search warrant at Microsoft’s Mountain View,  Calif., offices earlier this month as part of an investigation into a  high-priced call girl ring similar to the one used by former New York Gov.  Eliot Spitzer.

Ever wondered how Microsoft makes partners? Now comes a scandal which seems unprecedented:

EIM, was one of Microsoft’s largest distributors in Israel until mid-2005, when their contract expired. In the statement of defense filed with the Tel Aviv District Court, EIM claims that its relations with Microsoft broke down because EIM’s employees refused to participate in sex and drug orgies on a cruise organized by Microsoft in May 2005 for its Israeli and Turkish distributors.

EIM alleges, “For the pleasure cruise, Microsoft, or people on its behalf, invited women who provided sexual services for money. During this cruise, the Microsoft representative encouraged the participants in the cruise to party with these women, including receiving said services. They were also offered banned substances.”

More details here:

As sales incentives go it’s pretty extreme: one of Microsoft’s Israeli distributors is claiming Microsoft offered resellers women for sex on a cruise ship.

The distributor, EIM Computerized Technologies, made the revelations about the alleged activities in papers filed with the Tel Aviv District Court.

A few months ago, Paul Allen was making cruises to the same region, never disclosing the purpose of the visits. Total secrecy and denial of the media. Surely it’s unrelated, but it is embarrassing nonetheless.

What bothers me about this post is that the title is misleading.

No one, not even Microsoft, should be judged as guilty on mere rumours and accusations. Microsoft is not, by any means, a well-behaved company, and there’s boat-loads of good evidence to prove it…

…but giving attention to these kinds of sordid rumours, with no solid proof, seems very unfair.

Please…. since when has this website ever worried about being fair? Next you’ll be asking Roy to stop using quotes that don’t have any direct relation to the article.

Rumors, jokes and lies are OK so long as they are directed at Microsoft, Apple, or any other company that profits from proprietary software. Besides, proprietary software is sick and evil, so does Roy really have to be fair? He’s fighting evil, don’t ya know.

These are not rumors, they are allegations made in court. It would not be surprising for these to be true given the company’s notorious publications. Remember them referring to ISVs and developers as one night stands, to be lied to, screwed and abandoned? Those are the kind of people who pay for sex. The truth of these things will come out eventually. Reporting the accusation is fair game.

    Robotron 2084 Reply:

I’ve always found the people who pay for sex end up being the ones chastising others for just such behavior. Just ask Ted Haggard.

Compared to The Register, I think it’s reasonably fair and references are given for people to see that it’s an allegation. I also quote the parts that say so.

I would be rather surprised if such allegations were fabricated because of their nature (we shall wait and see). If EIM wants to make a fake cause against someone, it will not verge on the libelous.

Microsoft found out (or fined out) the consequences of trying this:

    Fine: $40 million.

@Robotron 2084: “…so does Roy really have to be fair? He’s fighting evil, don’t ya know.”

Yes, Roy has to be fair, and I believe he does try to be fair. And yes, he is fighting “evil”, to use your word, and I’m happy to help when I can. I think we all should do so. Microsoft is definitely a blight on the world.

My comment wasn’t meant to give you a platform to rant from. I was just expressing an opinion and concern. Roy is always willing to explain his viewpoints and is good about accepting other’s views, if they are honest views and not personal attacks on him.

    Robotron 2084 Reply:

Roy doesn’t need to be fair. It’s his website. He is not a journalist. Case closed. Indeed, he *thinks* he’s fighting evil. That’s part of the joke I made light of in my comment, which seems to have gone over your head.

You are also wrong about Roy as he’s quite incapable of being objective. I suspect you are as well. I could spend hours trying to explain this to you, but I think it pays to remember that devotion usually trumps reason.
