Burying Criticism of Linux as an RTOS
Linux as a realtime/real-time operating system (RTOS) was mocked publicly by Pete Zaitcev (Red Hat) or some other kernel hacker. We cannot find that anymore (we're tried hard), so we assume it got deleted/censored. It accused Linux Foundation or Linux of jumping the shark by marketing Linux as an RTOS.
SO far we've seen and collected 9 articles about Linux as an RTOS ("officially"). This was in social control media:
Or in LWN:
Curiously enough, people who know Linux best (from the inside) mocked the idea of Linux as realtime/real-time OS. Linux is very bloated and full of undiscovered bugs, but they try to shoehorn it into everything regardless. Can someone remember or maybe still find the criticisms? Let us know. It was around 4 years ago. We're quite sure Zaitcev published it, but going back to 2019 we see nothing. █
