statCounter: In Web Browsers, Microsoft Collapses to Worst Levels in 2 Years!
Given the rapid decline if not demise of Windows (in servers, desktops, laptops etc.) it should not be too shocking that this year the figures look as follows for the password stealer that can also render Web pages (using Google's Chromium, repackaged with a surrogate UI):
The last time the market share of Edge was lower was way back in February 2023. As we said yesterday, Bing is also in decline. The Edge and Bing teams were both subjected to mass layoffs at about the same time. Perhaps Microsoft comes to recognise it hasn't a future of the Web, so it "invents" and the spreads hype about "hey hi".
Microsoft nowadays insists that it is a "market leader" in a market that does not exist, is pure fiction (an elaborate scheme), and is only a money sink. That "market" is not growing, only the debt grows. This is also an environmental disaster. █
