Microsoft President Panics Over Europe's Abandonment of Microsoft/GAFAM/Trump's USA, These Figures Show Us Why

Yesterday we said that Microsoft's lying President is now lying out loud about some sort of "commitment" to Europe. This won't work, even if Microsoft gets some incredulous fools in the Atlantic Council to issue not one but several puff pieces parroting/spreading Microsoft's lies.

Guess who's gonna eat crow (if people remember). How many false promises will be remembered and will anyone be held accountable for such promises?

Once a liar, always a liar. At Microsoft, one who lies a lot gets promoted. Microsoft's debt is soaring and it is cancelling datacentres, not investing 80 billion dollars in making more (false promise from the beginning of January 2025). That stuff was already over-provisioned (not enough demand), so Microsoft offloaded unused resources to Scam Altman, sued by his own sister for sexual abuse.

Stay classy, Microsoft. Maybe you want to hire some more stranglers of women? To do "AI" (GPL violations of unprecedented scale)?

The Irish tracker statCounter, based on the same country where a lot of EU GDPR enforcement gets done, shows this data for May. Windows down from 76% to 69% since inauguration (funded by Microsoft).

Desktop Operating System Market Share Europe

An all-time low, too. That's laptops and desktops.

A lot of the exodus happens at the back end, including migrations to OpenDocument Format (ODF) in Germany and collaboration servers that facilitate sharing in workplaces, governments etc.

Digital sovereignty is of vital importance for data freedom. If governments and organisations use proprietary or pseudo-standard formats, they limit the tools that citizens can use to access data.

Some try to get away from "the cloud" (read as GAFAM, USA, and Trump's NSA), not just away from Microsoft.

Given how Microsoft has been laying off Azure staff, consistently several times per year since 2020 (and several times already this year alone) one can tell there's trouble at the back end and Netcraft helped confirm this with complete data. One person asked, "what about evidence that Microsoft is moving line items from other areas into the Azure account to fake growth?"

Yes, well.. Microsoft has long classified things as "cloud", "hey hi" (AI), and "Azure", even an embedded operating system it bought and had nothing to do with Azure (however was very widespread in chips).

Microsoft is bluffing and cheating shareholders. How long for can this ridiculous bluff carry on?
