Microsoft Azure Shrinking With More Mass Layoffs

A couple of months ago Red Hat (IBM) sacked 400+ engineers in China. Some said 500+. No notice had been given.
Now Microsoft does the same and "[r]eports suggest the layoffs will impact close to 200 out of 400 workers, who are set to cease employment at Azure on July 6" (if it was about security, the effect would be immediate). From what we saw elsewhere, on the first week of July Microsoft will have many more layoffs, maybe 10,000+ [1, 2]. Politics can be an excuse and a smokescreen. Salaries in China are generally higher than in India. █
