GitHub, LinkedIn, and XBox Will Finish Like Skype (Sustainability Crisis)

Skype was officially assassinated by Microsoft last summer. Many people forgot about it and drew no lessons. To say Skype was "replaced" by something else is akin to saying Freenode is fine because Libera.Chat exists.
For those who missed it, GitHub (increasingly a mountain of slop), LinkedIn (also increasingly a mountain of slop), and few other pseudo-companies (with the mere pretense of independence) were folded onto Microsoft to hide how bad things really were. Same as Skype. As for XBox, expect much of the same; it goes without saying that all the studios Microsoft took over (Activision included) are already being stacked up against the wall for the late June/early July firing squad. From what we have heard, and based on evidence we saw, the same is already happening elsewhere in Microsoft: teams merged, projects canceled, silent staff cuts (in anything but name).
Skype should become a verb. When Microsoft 'Skypes' something it means it basically shuts it down with some temporal excuse/s. █
