Microsoft is managing to piss off many of its own workers. Many become whistleblowers and leakers, which helps Microsoft not at all!
Microsoft is, at this point, totally without control over the narrative and attempts to change the subject insult those impacted. Even surviving staff is infuriated and seeks revenge.
When companies end up in a position like this the morale is low. Online rumours speak of another wave of layoffs coming this week.
This is the sort of spin we see today, trying to paint Microsoft as "generous" for laying off people:
