Arianna Taite on Odds of Australian (Daniel Pocock) Winning Clacton By-Election
Some hours ago Arianna Taite prepared a list, which she published a few minutes ago to let people literally bet on who will win a seat at Clacton, where "Pocock-on-Sea" is an option, albeit suppressed by Wikipedia:
Wikipedia is junk, it is gatekeeping (politically and commercially). For those who wish to know some of the policies of Pocock, take a look at this recent page. To quote a portion: "Pocock published a blog suggesting that the statistics could be analyzed using a Regression discontinuity design to see if the rate at which women joined Debian was increasing or decreasing after the Code of Conduct was introduced. Pocock’s initial summary of the data showed that fewer women were actually joining Debian after the Code of Conduct and Outreachy mentoring programs were introduced."
His detractors somehow try to twist or frame him (Pocock) as an impediment to women while the exact opposite is true. Pocock has always been respectful towards women; that's why some people hate him strongly (he speaks about their mistreatment of women). Also, in my experience, Pocock is anti-racism. In the 90s he campaigned for and helped Aboriginal people in his birthplace. █
