Microsoft and Spoilt Food
![[Yes, for fridges that cook food at 50 degrees (Celsius)] In 2012, Danfoss was the first to integrate variable speed technology in commercial air-conditioning. Danfoss Link™ smart heating is introduced. In 2014 alone, 213 new patents were granted. Yesterday in IRC we had some discussions about "smart" fridges; Sompi said it was becoming legally required, as the state wanted more control (we could not verify this claim though).
There seems to be no discussion in the media of Microsoft's role. We spoke about that for a while.
And having mentioned NDAs yesterday ("NDA-Compatible PIPs and RAs at IBM Red Hat"), one associated asked, "what role do the non-disparagement clauses in Microsoft contracts play in covering up the recent commercial refrigerator and freezer embedded systems breaches? Microsoft's partner Danfoss is taking it on the chin, but their role in this is only as a promulgator of Microsoft bug doors, not the creator. The creators are in the US and not Denmark. Yet ultimate responsibility for the breaches lies with the managers and directors at the various stores and chains who knowingly ordered, paid for, and deployed Microsoft products in place of fit-for-purpose systems."
"They were, wrongly, allowed to put ideology before food safety. With the non-disparagement clauses in place, Danfoss will never tell journalists what actually went wrong with the not-fit-for-purpose Microsoft gimmicks they build into their systems."
Some whistleblowers may be needed here. █
