Head of Microsoft Singapore Quits, OOXML Might be Among Causes

OOXML is fraud



There is an update to this jaw-dropping story which was mentioned here before. It's about the Managing Director of Microsoft Singapore leaving after 3 years on the job.



Here are the details, which escaped the radar of reporters.

Well well well, Barney Lau is leaving Microsoft Singapore. Wonder if this had anything to do with it. Good riddance I say!

Microsoft Singapore MD Barney Lau will leave the company at the end of July and will be replaced by Jessica Tan Soon Neo, who will be promoted from GM of Customer, Partner and Employee Experience for APAC position.


Several weeks ago, the same thing may have happened in South Africa.

Microsoft South Africa MD Pfungwa Serima has resigned.


Recall the OOXML fiasco down in South Africa [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12].

It was the same story also in India. The Managing Director quit abruptly, some say due to the sheer OOXML abuses.

Neelam Dhawan, Managing Director of Microsoft India, will leave the company as of 30 June. Some media sources cite the Indian ooxml debacle as a reason.


Several month ago, we had given some actual examples of this from the press. It was all circumstantial though, so reporters could not confirm OOXML as the reason.

Listed above is just a small sample of many recent departures across the world, including somewhat of a mess in Microsoft India. After many high-level departures, including presidents, the situation is not promising and the company has lost over $100 billion in value. The more scared it gets, the more aggressive it will become. it's not sustainable though.
