The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

I think that calling it BASE might be a little presumptious, but I
understand the point. Also I don't find "BASE" very asthetically
appealing, and it has the disadvantage of making it sound like Debian
is not a full distribution in its own right.

(I kind of liked Debian.)

Perhaps we could name the system something like

FOO - Linux Base System

where FOO could be Debian or whatever (if we don't want Debian). Also
foundation would be an alternative to base...

Perhaps someone else will have a much slicker suggestion. I guess I'm
just not a marketing type :>
