The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

I also agree, but I think that this is something that should happen
because our system is just so good that people would be fools not to
use it as a base :> rather than telling them that's how it's going to
be.

I think we should work toward having a great Linux distribution in its
own right, and one that others can easily build upon. If desired (as
I think Brian suggested) we can also contact the distributors through
less public channels than the upcoming newsgroup announcement to
suggest that they consider Debian as a base. I'm not talking about
anything covert. Perhaps something like a
README.distribution_builders would be good.
