The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

Well, Ian had a (well documented) serious time shortage. Other that stuff
directly attributable to this, no, I don't think dpkg has serious design
flaws.

Not quite, but he sure does manage to create that impression.

Umm. Is this really you, Bruce, or did someone forge this mail?

I think we abolutely need dpkg. This package, more than any other, is what
makes us what we are.

If you want to look for stuff we can easily live without, that's press
releases that seem to say that Bruce Perens is the most important person
for Linux, while Linus is somebody completely uninteresting.

Dselect has its problems, but dpkg improves our public image, and (IMNSHO)
press releases like this one disimprove it.
