The debian-private mailing list leak, part 1. Volunteers have complained about Blackmail. Lynchings. Character assassination. Defamation. Cyberbullying. Volunteers who gave many years of their lives are picked out at random for cruel social experiments. The former DPL's girlfriend Molly de Blanc is given volunteers to experiment on for her crazy talks. These volunteers never consented to be used like lab rats. We don't either. debian-private can no longer be a safe space for the cabal. Let these monsters have nowhere to hide. Volunteers are not disposable. We stand with the victims.

volume and appropriateness.

I have been working pretty hard the last few days at getting caught up on
my mail backlog. During this effort I have been struck by both the volume
and content of messages on debian-private. At times the volume has been
greater that that of debian-devel, and the content of the message would
best be distributed on that list. Thread titles like "core release test
bed" and "red hat among fastest domains" have, for the most part, been
technical discussions. We pride ourselves on our "open development" model,
but this model is not being served by carrying on technical discussion
behind the closed doors of the debian-private list. It was my
understanding that this list was to be used for social/political
discussions that were not worthy of or ready for public discussion. Even
the "dpkg issues" thread was, for the most part, technical discussion that
could just as easily been carried on in public.
Let's put the technical discussion back on debian-devel where it belongs
so we don't fall into the "trap" of a "closed development" environment.

Luck,

Dwarf
