Pausing for a bit
These last months have been busy. A lot of work, a lot of introspection, and enjoying Summer and Fall seasons.
Many things have changed, I'm looking for another employment, some other goals, and a different way of living.

Weird Improvements
Recently I have ended up with a couple of changes which have ended up making weird improvements to life.
The first improvement was to change my phone to a keyboard I can resize. I use Simple Keyboard on Android and I thought making the keyboard bigger would help improve the accuracy of my typing. Ha! It made it worse. However, by making the keyboard to 75% of size, I found my typing accuracy improved a lot. Turns out my thumbs are short and the stretching was the issue. It has worked well so far.

Karoshi and taxes
Karoshi is when you are being worked to death without the use of prison guards. Survive the intense pressure of the workplace, of course! But then speak up about it. Name the organizations that are part of this scheme to squeeze us for all the hours we help them make a profit, name the techniques they use, start resisting in big and small ways, help each other to resist. 99% of us are in this, together.
I'm watching family members working long hours for the Swiss federal government, and on the weekend, too, and I don't like it. I don't like it one bit.

Tipping point card game 🃏
There are two players, and you deal hands - Wikipedia says 13 cards, but I always played 7. Then you turn up the first of the remaining cards. This suit is trumps. You play for tricks, and each time the winner takes the face-up card, the loser takes the face-down card, and you turn another card up. So in phase one, you want to win the good face-up cards, not the dross, but you also don't want your trick total to fall too far behind. The tipping point is when there are no more cards to turn up, and you're just trying to annihilate your opponent with your big cards.

voyage into spirit
i was playing around with the voyager tarot, doing some random readings for fun and exercise - i make up a client and question, and then do a spread for them. as is often the case it was adjacent to things i've been recently pondering and it sounded like generally decent advice. i was so happy with how it flowed - i'm only just getting the hang of this deck - i decided this is one to share.

Short Post: Milestones [tw: self-harm]
Today marks three years without cutting. In two months, it will be the longest period without it in my adult life.
I'm not the person I want to be, but I thank the gods that I'm not the person I was ten or fifteen years ago. Cutting is something that has been difficult to let go, but medication and the passage of time have made it easier.

38
38 hours since I've last slept. It feels like I could go for much more still. But I'm home now, been on the road for longer than I've ever been. It's good to see that home doesn't lose its feel, even when you let it. The bed still carries the enveloping sense of "You're safe now, you can rest. You _should_ rest." I won't be staying for long though, back on the road again in a week, back to university.
This summer has been a crazy trip. So many awesome and awful memories I made. Filled up my archive with many revelations about myself and how I treat new situations. With the chess-like analyses of what I should say or should have said (maybe without the notation). Probably the most chaotic one so far. Is it always like that, do seasons get crazier every year? They seem to be.
